One of the most interesting games of round 16 was a derby match between two teams from Russia. The game took place in Kazan where second rankedUNICS won against visiting MBA Moscow (9-6) 83-66 . Center Sergey Balashov (206-1996, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 4 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UNICS have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-2 record behind leader CSKA. MBA Moscow at the other side keeps the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Parma-Pari.
